Better Futures+

How SMEs can understand their energy footprint and cut costs with Better Futures+

A FREE business and sustainability support package designed to help London’s SMEs cut costs, understand carbon auditing and cater to a growing market of ethical consumers is open for applications.

The Better Futures+ programme, funded by the Mayor of London’s Green New Deal and the London Business Hub, is worth up to £2000 for participants and is delivered by environmental and industry experts who provide the latest intelligence, facilitate workshops and provide bespoke advice.

The programme is designed for busy SME leaders, who can participate in all, or any, of the following key steps:

  • Learn: Via an 8-part webinar series and collaborative workshops, facilitated by industry and environmental specialists. Find out how your business can get to net zero and connect with like-minded businesses and a support network to discuss common challenges.
  • Measure: You can’t manage what you don’t know. Learn how to measure your business energy footprint with Climate Essential’s carbon management platform and make a tailored reduction plan, to start cutting your energy bills. You can also book in with a carbon specialist for 1:2:1 support. Worried about energy bills, book in a with an experienced energy consultant for an on-site energy audit.
  • Commit: Make a pledge on the SME Climate Hub to be part of the growing community of SMEs in London and nationally committing to net zero.
  • Reward: By completing the programme, you’ll receive a digital badge free to use on all your communications and digital channels.

The programme is available to London-based businesses that employ at least two people and up to a maximum of 249 full-time equivalent employees and generate revenue from £100k up to a maximum of £43M.
