Do you have trade experience in the Green Skills or Construction sector? Are you looking for an opportunity to pass on your knowledge and skills to a new generation of future workers?
There is a significant national shortage of skilled tutors in these sectors, so the hunt is on to find skilled individuals with trade experience who are interested in giving something back to their industry by helping today’s students become tomorrow’s skilled workers.
If you fancy taking a new direction in your career and have expertise in heating and ventilation, landscaping, heat pump or solar panel installation, engineering, plumbing, electrical work, electric vehicle, bricklaying, plastering, carpentry, drylining, quantity surveying, or other sustainability or construction-related skills we might have a great opportunity for you.
We are looking for people who can train the next generation of people who will build our homes, hospitals, schools, transportation and offices – while helping us combat climate change, become more energy efficient and lead us on the path to Net Zero.
You might have never taught before. This is not a barrier. If you have the right attitude, trade experience and a passion for working with people to pass on your skills and knowledge, we can train you to teach. Funding is available to pay for your teacher training.
Part-time and full-time posts are available in seven West London further education colleges that are working as a team to find, train and recruit the next generation of tutors. The colleges are; Barnet & Southgate College, Capel Manor College, College of North-West London, Stanmore College, West London College, West Thames College, Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges.
